There has never been a greater need for entrepreneurs that WSF seeks to celebrate and support. By bringing together investors and innovators from around the world, we aim to create a platform that unites the knowledge of the past with the urgency of the present and the promise of the future. Our platform exposes young entrepreneurs to the abundant opportunities created by disruptive technologies, and entrepreneurship culture of the startup ecosystem. WSF is Celebrating Entrepreneurship by reimagining face-to-face dialogue and how we exchange our views in the 21st century.

WSF comprises 3 core areas namely the Festival, the Magazine, and the Accelerator. Our Festival offers a vast array of interesting features for investors and startup founders alike. To name but a few of them, the LaunchPad and IdeaPad segments consider mapping tomorrow’s business landscape and the future of financing. Angels and Unicorns charts the journey of the quintessential startup – from ideation, seeding and funding to exit – bringing out best practices of startups. Our Music Jam, Collaboratorium, Chat Pods, and Startup Expo provide unconventional networking spaces for long-term collaborations and our inspirational Awards ceremony honours the best of startups in the global ecosystem. The Magazine keeps the world abreast of the latest news in the startup ecosystem and provides a credible rating of startups worldwide for the purpose of investment readiness. The Accelerator offers an immersive experience for startups to learn business fundamentals and plug them in a track to engage investors for funding and market access.

Introduction

World Startup Festival (WSF) is a global platform that celebrates entrepreneurship across the globe, bringing entrepreneurs especially women and youth, together with corporations and policy-makers worldwide, to discuss the future of our world and our children's space in it, in the context of the emerging 4th Industrial Revolution.

WSF is a super connector for businesses worldwide, and a complete incubator for businesses, nurturing them from ideation right up until public listing. It offers end-to-end services from accelerator programmes, international media exposure, pre-seed to IPO investments (WSF has an investor fund size of USD20 million with 10% growth each year), international market access, networking festivals, startup ratings and awards.

United Nations SDGs

WSF is a powerful space for dialogue between the old and young, government and business, and targets 7 out of 17 United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) namely SDG5 - gender equality; SDG8 - decent work and economic growth; SDG9 - industry, innovation and infrastructure; SDG10 - reduce inequalities; SDG11 - sustainable cities and communities; SDG12 responsible consumption and production and SDG17 - partnerships for the goals.

What We Do

WSF is a super connector for the entrepreneurship community globally, focusing on the interaction between business, government and the community, and provides a catalyzing platform to usher the 4th Industrial Revolution. WSF organizes The Festival, an annual startup event as a networking and ideas platform for startups worldwide; The Magazine, a bi-monthly magazine targeted to WSF’s network of international investors, startups and diverse communities worldwide; and The Accelerator, a startup accelerator to create a pipeline of promising startups and prepare them for international market access and investments from seed to IPO.
